The Game Story:
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team won their season opener today 9-5 over visiting Williams College in NESCAC action at Howard Ryan Field in Brunswick. The Polar Bears improve to 1-0, while the Ephs drop to 0-1.

Bowdoin took a 2-1 lead after one quarter of play on goals from Alex Weaver and Ford Gurall. Three second-quarter goals from Phil Stern, Joe Andrasko and Vinay Kashyap to lead 5-3 at intermission. Ford Barker had three first-half assists and scored Bowdoin's lone goal in the third frame before goals from Weaver, Connor Fitzgerald and Kevin Mullins clinched the game in the fourth quarter.

Matt Bahright led Williams with two goals. Grant White made seven saves in net for the Polar Bears, while Matt Rade stopped 13 shots for the Ephs.
