Cabrini vs. Colorado College

The Game Story:
Swarthmore, Pennsylvania - Sophomore Kevin Rayer scored four goals, and freshman Steve Hill added three goals to lead Cabrini College to a 14-9 win over Colorado College in the rain and snow in Swarthmore.

Cabrini's Antonio Masone made 15 saves for the Cavaliers. The game started in a steady rain, and the Cavaliers jumped on the Tigers early, with Hill scoring the game's first goal 1:10 into the contest. The teams traded goals over the next three minutes, with Colorado tying the score at 2-2 on a goal by Matt Gurba with 10:25 remaining in the quarter.

Cabrini then went on a 4-0 run to take control of the game. Matt Grosse, Brian Cordts, Rayer and Rory Friel all scored for the Cavs in that run, which ended with Friel's goal with 6:39 to go in the quarter. After Gurba made it a 6-3 contest, Rayer tallied with one minute to go in the quarter to make it 7-3.

The Cavaliers outscored the Tigers 5-2 in the second quarter to take a 12-5 lead into the break.

Snow greeted the teams as they came out of the locker rooms for the second half, and Colorado quickly capitalized, dominating the third quarter, scoring all three goals in the stanza. The Tigers crept within three, 12-9, early in the fourth quarter on a man-up goal by Matt Garrow, but the Cavaliers put the game away with goals from Rayer and Hill.

Colorado's Chris Shopneck made six saves on the day.
