| (Radnor, Pa)-- Mike Pape and Nick Marks each scored four goals to lead
Cabrini College past Dickinson 15-7 in men^Òs lacrosse Wednesday night.
The win was the first for the Cavaliers as they improve to 1-2. The
Devils slip to 0-2 on the season.
Dickinson went on top 2-0 on a pair of goals by freshman Jimmy Long (Garden City, NY/Salisbury) before Cabrini answered with six of the next eight goals to lead 6-4. Following a scoreless second period, Marks tallied three times in the third to stretch the lead to 10-5. The teams traded a pair of goals to make the score 12-7 midway through the final peroid. Cabrini then closed out the scoring with the game's final three goals. Freshman Greg Welch (Media, Pa/Penncrest) recorded his first pair of collegiate assists while junior Jack Miner (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) chipped in with a goal and assist as well. Sean McGowan (Glens Falls, NY/Kimball Union Academy) had three saves as the Cavs held a 42-27 advantage in shots. The Devils held the edge in face-offs 15-9. The Red Devils will host Alfred University on Saturday in their home opener. Face-off is set for 1:00 pm on Biddle Field. |
