|Radnor, PA - Senior Paul Archambault and junior Dave Barba each|
scored a pair of second-half goals to lead Cabrini College (3-3) to a
9-5 win over Fairleigh Dickinson University (1-4) in a men's lacrosse
game on Friday. The win was the third in a row for the Cavaliers.
Cabrini trailed 4-3 at halftime, but Archambault tied the
contest five minutes into the third quarter. Junior Kevin Rayer put
the Cavaliers ahead with a man-up goal four minutes later, and
Cabrini carried a 5-4 advantage into the final stanza.
Barba sandwiched a pair of goals around Archambault's
second goal of the half to extend Cabrini's lead to 8-4 with 4:33 to
play. Cabrini's Daniel Leigh scored his first collegiate goal with
2:21 remaining to give the Cavs their largest lead of the contest.
FDU scored with just over a minute remaining to set the final score.
Cabrini's Kevin Quinn made eight saves to pick up the
win. John Apple made eight stops for the Devils.
Sophomore Spencer Driggs scored three goals - all in the
second quarter - to lead FDU. Fellow sophomore Scott Shadiack added
three assists in the losing effort.
Cabrini outshot FDU 35-28 in the contest.
