The Game Story:
RADNOR, Pa. (March 17) -- Freshman Rich Romanelli scored with 2:22 left in the first overtime to lift host Cabrini to a 7-6 win over 13th ranked Hampden Sydney College Saturday afternoon in non-league men's lacrosse action.

Coming off a tough overtime loss to Widener last week, the Cavaliers (3-1) found themselves down 3-0 early in the game before Romanelli (three goals) opened the scoring for Cabrini on a feed from Bill Cordts with 1:39 left in the first period.

Casey Grugan cut the Tiger (4-1) lead to one 20 seconds later and the Cavs trailed 3-2 after one. Scott Reimer and Pat Jenkins each scored goals in the second period to help the Cavs pulled out to a narrow, 4-3 halftime lead.

In the third, the Tigers used back to back goals by Ryan Harrington and Tom Jennings to pull out to a 5-4 lead before Romanelli, on a feed from Matt Conaway, tied the game at 5. Will Shell put HS up for the last time at the 14:19 mark of the fourth period before B.J. Kletchek tied it for the Cavs with 11:10 to go.

Cabrini keeper Kevin Quinn turned back 11 shots in the win, including four in the final minutes of regulation to help set up the overtime period.

Next up for the Cavaliers is a non-conference match up at Gettysburg Wednesday.
