Cabrini vs. Shenandoah

The Game Story:
RADNOR, Pa. (April 1) - Thirteen different players scored as the Cabrini College men's lacrosse team handed Shenandoah University their first loss of the season with a 23-8 victory. The Cavaliers improve to 7-2 and remain undefeated in conference play while the Hornets drop to 5-1 and even their mark at 1-1 in the PAC.

Senior Matt McKinney, junior Scott Reimer and sophomore Steve Kapp each scored three times for the Cavaliers. Junior Matt Conaway and sophomore Casey Grugan led the Cavaliers with three assists.

Junior Mike Dolente was 8-of-8 on face-offs and led the Cavaliers, along with junior Jeff Moore, with five ground balls. Moore recorded seven caused turnovers.

Cabrini recorded 73 shots, 37 on goal, and limited Shenandoah to just 19 shots.

The Cavaliers held a 48-24 advantage in ground balls forced the Hornets into 26 turnovers.

Cabrini scored the first seven goals of the game, two from McKinney, before Shenandoah got on the scoreboard with 13 seconds left in the first quarter.

Cabrini held a 14-4 lead at the break and remained in front by 10 goals for the duration of the contest.

Junior Bobby Chambers earned the win in the goal for the Cavaliers.

Cabrini faces Alvernia College on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
