RADNOR, Pa. (May 5) Ė The Cabrini College Cavaliers captured their fifth straight Pennsylvania Athletic Conference menís lacrosse championship with 16-0 win over visiting Wesley College Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the 14th ranked Cavaliers (15-2 overall, 9-0 PAC) advance to the NCAA Division III menís lacrosse tournament for the sixth straight season. Wesley ends the season at 10-7 overall and 7-2 in PAC play.

In the first half, junior Matt Conaway (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) collected three goals, sophomore Scot Reimer (Downingtown Pa., Downingtown West) added two and Casey Grugan (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) and Pat Jenkins (South Brunswick N.J./South Brunswick) added single tallies as Cabrini took a 7-0 lead. Jenkins goal, coming after a Cavalier timeout with 11 seconds left in the half, all but finished the Wolverines.

Cabrini went on a 7-0 run in the third period and coasted to the win to lock up their sixth PAC title in the last seven years and their sixth straight NCAA tournament berth. Cabrini has won the PAC title every year since 2001 except for 2002.

Conaway led the Cavaliers with five goals while Reimer ended with four. Grugan ended the day with three goals and three assists. Romanelli scored two goals while Pat Jenkins Chris Luongo each added solo goals. Rob Tinsley, Jeff Moore and Steve Heaps collected assists. Kevin Quinn stopped four Wesley shots in the win.

Cabrini will open play in the NCAA tournament against an opponent to be determined next week, Play-in games begin on Wednesday, May 9 while first round games will take place Saturday May 12.
