| RADNOR, Pa. (March 10) -- Widener’s Brian Stromko scored on a feed from Clint Quedenfield with 42 seconds remaining in the second overtime to lift the visiting Pride to a 5-4 win over host Cabrini Saturday afternoon in a non-conference men’s lacrosse game. With the Cavaliers holding a 4-3 lead, Widener’s Gavin Goane tied the game up with 7:28 to go in the third quarter. Goane finished with two goals for Widener (2-0) while Stromko also scored two. Cabrini’s Scott Reimer, a junior out of Ridley High School, scored two goals and added two assists. Dan Leigh and Matt Conaway provided the other two Cabrini goals while Casey Grugan added an assist. In goal, senior Kevin Quinn came up with 12 saves for Cabrini while senior Andrew Johnson (Strath Haven), turned back 18 shots for the Pride. Cabrini (2-1) returns to action Saturday when they host Hampden Sydney at 1 p.m. |
