|RADNOR, Pa. (April 3) -- Casey Grugan poured in four goals and added two assists to pace 17th ranked Cabrini College to a 19-5 win over visiting Immaculata Tuesday night in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference menís lacrosse action.|
Cabrini (7-2 overall, 3-0 PAC) opened up a 15-0 lead before the Mighty Macs got on the scoreboard. Scott Reimer (four goals, one assist), Rich Romanelli (three goals, three assists), Scott Bordignon (three goals) and Kase Krebeck (two goals) also were multiple goal scorers for the Cavaliers.
Matt McKinney (one assist) , Pat Jenkins and Paul Levine each added solo tallies while Mike Brewer (two assists), Kevin Fahey (two assists), Chris Barron, Matt Conaway, Ryan Dunn, B.J. Kletcheck, Sal Lombardo and Mike Terry also added assists.
Immaculataís Andrew Sim turned away 26 Cabrini shots on the night. The Mighty Macs, in their first season of menís lacrosse, got two goals from Alan Lorentz and one goal and one assist from Tom Hartney.
Grugan, a freshman out of Ridley High School, today was named PAC player of the week for his performance last week in wins over defending national champion Cortland State and Misericordia. Grugan scored five goals and added six assists for the Cavaliers in a 2-0 (1-0 PAC) week. Grugan tallied two of those goals and three of those assists in the 11-10 defeat of defending National Champion, Cortland State.
Next up for the Cavaliers is a PAC showdown April 11 at Alvernia College at 4 p.m.
