Centenary vs. Richard Stockton

The Game Story:
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (April 3, 2010) The menís lacrosse team dropped their second straight contest, this time it was an 11-7 defeat at the hands of Stockton College. Centenary evened its record with the loss, falling to 4-4 while Stockton went up to 4-2 with the win.

The Cyclones got off to a fast start and used two goals from senior Jason Rieg (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris) to take a 4-1 lead in the first quarter. Stockton then went on to score five of the next six goals in the game to even the score at halftime, 5-5. Stockton then outscored Centenary 6-2 in the second half to get the final 11-7 score.

Rieg scored four goals and recorded two assists for the Cyclones while junior Joe Swantkoski (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) scored two goals and had one assist. Sophomore goalie Kyle McVay (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) made 13 saves for Centenary. For Stockton, Josh Dybus scored three goals and had two assists and Matt Bologno scored two goals and assisted on two others.

Next up for Centenary will be a home conference contest on Wednesday, April 7, against Neumann University
