The Game Story:
KNIGHTS FALL 10-9 TO GENESEO IN SEASON-OPENER Junior Sean Pearce (Auburn, NY) scored four goals and added an assist to lead all scorers, but the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team fell 10-9 to Geneseo in the Saturday afternoon season-opener at Colgate University.

The Golden Knights fell behind 4-1 in the opening quarter, but rallied in the second to close the gap to 7-6. The two teams traded goals for the remainder of the game as Senior Marty Reid (Hamburg, NY) added a goal and two assists for the Golden Knights. Senior Greg Arnold (East Amherst, NY), freshman PJ Amedro (Camillus, NY), and juniors Matt Owen (Watertown, NY) and Patrick Ryan (Canton, NY) each added a goal for Clarkson. Senior Jim Lavelle (Hamburg, NY) added two assists. Joe Zebrowski (Liverpool, NY) made 16 saves for Clarkson.

Dave Spennacchio, Sam Del Favero and Tim Killoran each scored two goals to lead Geneseo. Andy Howk made 15 saves for Geneseo.

The Golden Knights return to action on Sunday, March 16, when they face Amherst at New Port Richie, FL.
