Dickinson vs. Haverford

The Game Story:
(Carlisle, Pa)-- The Dickinson College men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-0 first quarter lead and never looked back as they rolled past Haverford 18-7 on Saturday.

Sophomore Jordan Seiken (Villanova, PA/Penn Charter) tallied five goals and handed out two assists to lead Dickinson. Freshman Greg Welch (Media, PA/Penncrest) had a hat-trick as well with three goals and one assist on the afternoon.

Welch scored three of the Devils' first six goals and assisted on another as Dickinson opened a 9-2 halftime lead. The lead grew to as much as 14 as the third quarter ended 17-3.

Matt McFarland (Annapolis, Md/Severn), Jack Miner (Wexford, Pa/N/ Allegheny) and Jimmy Long (Garden City, NY/Salisbury) each added a pair of goals and one assist, and Trip Deeley (Lutherville, Md/St. Paul's) dished out three assists as Dickinson improves to 3-5 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference.

Tim Miller scored three goals and Jeff Jopling added a pair for Haverford who falls to 1-7 and 0-2 on the year.

Sean McGowan (Glens Falls, NY/Kimball Union) and Kris Kogelschatz (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul^s) combined for 16 saves in the Dickinson cage while Matt Montgomery and John Michaels made 15 stops for Haverford.

The Devils are home again next Wednesday, hosting York College at 4:00 pm .
