| San Diego, Calif. - The No. 6 Ithaca men’s lacrosse team (5-0) scored the game-winning goal with four seconds left in the fourth quarter in a 7-6 win over Drew (0-3) in southern California on the team’s spring trip. Senior attackman Chris Carman (Monte Vista/Alamo, Calif.) scored the game-winner on an assist from freshman attack Tom Mongelli (Kinnelon/Kinnelon, N.J.). Senior attackman Alec Siefert (Duxbury/Duxbury, Mass.) led the Ithaca offense with three goals and an assist. Sophomore goalie David Gal (Loomis Chaffee [Conn.]/Amherst, Mass.) made 15 saves. Senior midfielder Matt Cutter (Needham/Needham, Mass.), junior midfielder Nic Heckman (Sparta/Sparta, N.J.), and senior midfielder Kevin Bush (Arapahoe [Colo.]/St. George Island, Fla.) scored the other Ithaca goals. Mongelli had two assists in the game, and Cutter, Carman and junior attack Mike Lohan (Sanford H. Calhoun/Merrick) had assists. Ithaca returns to action March 21 at Cortland. |
