Drew vs. Kean
April 2, 2003
The Game Story:
Madison, NJ – Craig Middleton (South Setauket, NY) fired off four goals and an assist on way to a 14-6 men’s lacrosse victory over Kean University Wednesday night in Madison.   The Rangers, who improve to 2-5 on the season, got their first two goals from freshman attacker Devin Rafferty (Old Bridge, NJ) with one assist from Eric Siegel (Culver City, CA) to close out the first quarter with a 2-0 lead.

After a Kean goal by Adam Deisley (Edison, NJ) in the second quarter, the Rangers reeled off four third quarter goals to take a 9-1 lead.  But the Cougars ignited at the start of the fourth quarter with two goals just eight seconds apart from Simeon Etta (Newark, NJ) at 14:48 and 14:40, followed by Aaron Harmon and Robert Starr connecting to cut Kean’s deficit to 9-6.  Drew rallied quickly though and registered five more goals from Middleton, Rafferty, Siegel, Quincy Booth (Philadelphia, PA), and Phil Rosenau (Ambler, PA) for the 14-6 win.
Matt Alario (Fredon, PA) posted 10 saves for Drew, before Mike Litman (Ellitcot City, MD) got the nod in the fourth quarter.   Bruno Parente (Westfield, NJ) registered 10 saves in the Cougars’ effort as they fall to 3-4 on the year.
