| MADISON, N.J. -- Susquehanna University's junior midfielder Fred Morse (Rochester, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) scored an unassisted goal in the fourth quarter, but visiting Susquehanna lost to Drew University, 6-1, in a Landmark Conference game at Ranger Stadium on April 10. Morse's (pictured) goal put the score at 5-1 and placed Susquehanna (5-8, 0-4 Landmark) within striking distance of Drew (6-4, 3-0 Landmark), but the Rangers countered with the only other goal of the fourth to pull away for the win. SU's freshman attack Billy Spack (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) and senior defender Collin Fadrowski (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) both picked up a team-high four ground balls. Sophomore midfielder Ryan Oakes (North Yarmouth, Maine/Cheverus) led the Crusaders with two faceoffs wins. Freshman Anthony Maiorella (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) suffered the loss in goal despite making a game-high 13 saves in 59 minutes, 39 seconds, including five in the fourth quarter alone. Teammate and fellow freshman Bill Davis (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) was not forced to make a save in the remaining 21 seconds. Next Game: Wednesday, April 15, vs. Ursinus, 7 p.m. |
