March 21, 2012
The Game Story:
ST. DAVIDS, Pa.- Eastern University Men's Lacrosse scored 10 times in the first period and cruised to a 22-2 win over the visiting Rosemont College Ravens. Grant Ferguson and Chris Farrar each had three goals and two assists to pace 16 Eastern players with at least one point on the afternoon.
Andrew Travers opened the scoring on a Farrar pass two minutes and eleven seconds into the contest, and the Eagles led 5-0 midway through the period. Eastern led 12-0 before Rosemont's Dean Grissoff put the visitors in the scoring column with a bounce shot from 12 yards out after dodging a pair of defenders. Grissoff finished with 17 ground balls and 16-of-26 wins on face-offs on the day for the Ravens.

AJ Ryan answered with a fast break goal on the ensuing face-off to put the Eagles up 13-1.

Eastern's superior depth came into play in the second half as six different players scored their first goal of the year for the Eagles to close out the day. Dave Hoger played the first three quarters in net and stopped one shot to pick up the win. Nick DiPiano played the final quarter and made two saves and did not give up a goal.

The Eagles return to Olson Field Saturday for a non-league rivalry game against Messiah College.
