| The men's lacrosse team travelled to Hobart College tonight to take on the
Elmira Soaring Eagles and won a thrilling 11-10 overtime decision. First
year Pat Riehlman converted a left handed shot after making a move in the
midfield just 1:27 into the extra session to send the Knights to the win.
Junior Dave Spennacchio led the attack with two goals, two assists,
classmate Tim Killoran added two goals, one assist and junior Mark Engel
added two scores. Junior Andy Howk made 16 saves, including one in overtime
which led to Riehlman's heroics and Brian Orlowski netted a goal and an
assist. The Knights led 3-1 after one but the Eagles evened the contest at
four at intermission. Geneseo trailed 8-7 going to the last period, but
outscored the Eagles 3-2 to send the game to overtime. Sophomore Chris Stock
and Jay Loetterle completed the scoring with a goal apiece for the Knights.
Geneseo advances to 2-0 on the season.
