WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s men’s lacrosse team (0-4) lost a heartbreaker on Thursday 10-8 to Elmira (3-1). The Soaring Eagles scored four fourth quarter goals to steal victory at Shangraw Athletic Complex.

Freshman midfielder Ed Williams (Florham Park, NJ) assisted junior Dan Cannon (Orangeville, ONT) for Lycoming’s first point, then scored a goal of his own as time ran out in the first period. Senior captain Tom Nairn (Fairport, NY) and junior Jim Cusick (Aston, PA) also notched goals in the opening frame.

However, in the third, Warrior senior Matt Lando (Corning, NY) assisted Cannon and Cusick, while Dan Conkright (Spring City, PA) scored unassisted to keep Lycoming up 7-6 going into the final period.
