| BEVERLY, MA - The 20th ranked Endicott College men's lacrosse team posted their highest offensive output of the season thus far, routing the Pilgrims of New England College, 20-4, on Senior Day in Beverly, MA. With the win, Endicott has now won 30 straight Commonwealth Coast Conference regular season games. New England College opened the scoring just 1:34 into the contest as Matt Quinton (Elora, Ontario/Kitchener Braves) found a cutting Dillon Lantz (Woodstock, VT/Woodstock) on a feed from the back X to put the visitors up 1-0. Endicott responded by pumping in five straight goals to take a 5-1 lead after one quarter of play. The second frame was all Blue and Green as the Gulls found the back of the net a total of 10 times. Endicott's Brandon Dube (Danvers, MA/Danvers) had a remarkable run in the second quarter as the sophomore attackman scored seven of his game-high 10 points in quarter number two. The Gulls dominating first half performance gave the home team a 15-3 lead at the intermission. The Endicott offense slowed the second half down as they Gulls put it into cruise control over the final thirty-minutes of play. Three of the Gulls five goals in the second half came on man-up opportunities, as Endicott added to their potent extra man offensive numbers by going 8-for-11 on Saturday afternoon. EC was also once again dominant at the face-off X, winning 22-of-28 draws through the midfield. Josh Gilbert (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury), who scored seven of Endicott's 13 goals in a win over Gordon College on Wednesday, notched three scores and dished out two assists in the win. Brandon Dube finished the afternoon with three goals and a game-high seven helpers, good for a season-best 10 points. Sophomore midfielder Joe Gugino (West Hartford, CT/Conard) also tallied three strikes for the Gulls. With the win, Endicott improves their record to 11-2 and 6-0 in the CCC. The Gulls return to action on Wednesday evening as they square-off with the University of New England. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM in Beverly, MA. |
