The Game Story:
FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse Beats Lycoming, 13-4

Madison, NJ - The FDU-Florham Devils improved to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the Middle Atlantic Conference with a 13-4 win over the Lycoming Warriors. Lycoming drops to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the MAC.

The game was played on the artificial turf field at Drew University because FDUs field is still unplayable.

FDU got out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter before Lycoming broke the ice at the 8:14 mark in the second quarter. The Devils went on to score eight straight goals to take a 13-1 lead by the end of the third period.

Lycoming managed three goals in the fourth to make the final score 13-4.

Junior midfielder Ed Flood (Port Jefferson Station, NY) paced the Devils with two goals and three assists. Freshman attackman Derek Havran (Bridgewater, NJ) scored a game-high three goals. Freshman attackman Chris Fieger (Bethpage, NY) added two goals and two assists.

Junior midfielder John Damiani (Hillsborough, NJ) scored twice and added an asisst while picking up a game-high seven groundballs. Sophomore attackman Brad Roberts (Hillsborough, NJ) also scored two goals and made an assist.

Sophomore goalie John Apple (Cambridge, MD) made seven saves for FDU. Freshman backup goalie Bob Moseman (Short Hills, NJ) made two saves in 1:31 of work after Apple left the game to serve a penalty.

For Lycoming Ryan Bergstrom led the team with two goals. Goalie Christian Willaum made 16 saves.

The Devils will travel to Roanoke or a 3:30 pm game on Wednesday.
