The men's lacrosse team, ranked 21st in the latest USILA Coaches poll, hosted Hamilton College this afternoon and won a 17-9 decision. After Geneseo raced to an 8-1 lead, Hamilton scored the final three goals of the second quarter and the initial two goals of the third quarter to cut the lead to 8-6. Seniors Mike Cintineo, who finished with four goals and one assist, and Dylan Bittlingmaier, who finished with four goals, scored two goals apiece during a 6-0 run that broke the game open for Geneseo. Junior Erik Baranowski won 25 of 28 faceoffs with 13 ground balls for Geneseo, giving the Knights a large advantage in possession. Senior Tom Costanza scored two goals with three assists, sophomore Craig Lange dished out three helpers and senior Justin Rand scored two goals with one assist for the Knights. Junior Dennis Costanza posted the win in goal by making 11 saves and allowing six goals in 48:43 of action, before giving way to first year Noah Berg, who stopped one shot and allowed three scores in 11:17. The Knights advance to 4-1 on the season and travel to Union on Sunday.
