reensboro, NC -- Chris Schmidt had 3 goals and 2 assists and Scott Bowen tallied 4 times as St. John Fisher defeated Greensboro College, 12-4, at the Smith Turf Fields on Wednesday.

The Pride dropped to 0-2 and the Cardinals won its season opener. St. John Fisher had a 21-6 edge in face-offs won.

Trailing 2-0 in the opening period, GC responded with goals by Neal McKinney and Nick Patrone to tie the game. The score was 2-2 after one quarter.

Fisher tacked on two scores in the second quarter and led 4-2 at halftime. The visitors outscored GC 6-0 in the third quarters.
