Hamilton vs. Saint Lawrence

The Game Story:
CLINTON, N.Y. - Peter Carroll '09 scored two goals and assisted on
another to lead visiting St. Lawrence University to a 10-5 Liberty
League win against Hamilton College at Campus Road Athletic Field on
April 8.

The Saints (2-0 league, 5-3 overall) have won four straight games.
Hamilton (0-2, 5-2) has lost two in a row at home after opening the
season with five consecutive victories.

Brendan Lynch '07, Nick Mastine '07 and Cory Yawger '08 added two
goals each. Justin Demuth '07 made ten saves as he picked up his
fifth win in goal. P.J. Santora '09 won 11 of 15 faceoffs and picked
up six ground balls.

The Continentals' Jack Newton '06 led all players with three goals.
Newton has scored a team-high 20 goals and is tied for fourth place
with Calvert Burkhart on Hamilton's all-time list with 96.

St. Lawrence led 4-2 midway through the second quarter, but goals by
Newton and Frasher Kempe '08 thirteen seconds apart tied the score
at 4-all with 7:00 left in the half. The Saints scored the next four
goals -- bridging the second and third quarters -- and led 8-4 after
three. Mastine had two goals during the run. Newton scored the
Continentals' lone goal in the second half as he found the back of
the net with 10:23 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Hamilton travels to Clarkson University for another league game on
Wednesday, April 12. St. Lawrence hosts SUNY Oswego on Sunday at 2
p.m.
