Sebastian's/Norfolk, MA) finished with six goals as the 19th-ranked Hartwick
College men's lacrosse team took a 17-8 victory over University of Scranton
on Tuesday at All-Weather Field.
The Hawks move to 2-0 on the season heading into Saturday's 1:00 p.m. game with No. 11 Springfield. Scranton fell to 1-2 with the loss. Ross Pino (Webster/Rochester, NY) added two goals and four assists. He now has 97 goals for his career. Ryan Maloney (Downingtown/Downingtown, PA) finished with four goals, including three scores in the decisive fourth quarter. The Hawks led 6-4 at halftime and Scranton stayed in the game in the third quarter and only trailed 9-7 midway through the quarter. Hartwick, though, outscored Scranton by a 7-1 count in the final 15 minutes. Kevin Geraghty (Massapequa/Massapequa, NY) added two goals and three assists for Hartwick. Senior midfielder Brian Roy (St. John's Prep/Marblehead, MA) had four assists, while Ethan Poole (Geneva/Geneva, NY) had two goals and Brett Raboy (Ward Melville/S. Setauket, NY) had one. Freshmen Kyle DeVoe (Chaminade/East Rockaway, NY) and Drew Rose (Cheshire/Cheshire, CT) each had their first collegiate assists. Mark Colite (Southington/Southington, CT) had 10 saves for Hartwick. |
