| ITHACA, N.Y. – Freshman Mike Cintineo (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) scored a career-high four goals to help lead the Bombers past Rensselaer 11-8. The Red Hawks jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the second quarter. The Bombers (4-2) would then score eight of the game’s next nine goals to take an 11-7 lead. Sophomore Logan Bobzien (Arapahoe/Littleton, Colo.) scored the first two goals of the game for the Bombers. Senior Brandon Geluso (Harborfields/Greenlawn) scored two goals while junior Matt Hammes (Homer/Cortland), senior Matt Pulgiese (Williamsville East/Williamsville), and sophomore Matt Nelligan (Pingree School/Rowley, Mass.) each added one goal during the Bombers’ 8-1 run. Freshman Mike Giunta (B. Reed Henderson/West Chester, Pa.) registered two assists on the afternoon while Nelligan assisted on one goal. Junior Dennis Butler (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) made nine saves in goal for Ithaca. The Bombers host Utica on Saturday in an Empire 8 contest. Game time is set for 1 p.m. |
