Kean vs. Greensboro

The Game Story:
Greensboro, N.C. Freshman Randall Brooks scored a game-high 3 goals and led Greensboro College to a 14-6 win over visiting Kean University on Monday.

The Pride improved to 1-3 while KU dropped to 3-1.

GC won the face-off battle early and led 3-1 after the first quarter and 6-2 at halftime. Freshman Matt Patrone won 10-7 draws, scored 2 goals and dished one assist.

Neal McKinney and freshman Jordan Drumheller had two scores and one helper apiece. Cameron Collier and tallied twice for the home team.

The Pride outscored the Cougars 6-1 in the third period. Collier, who recorded his last goal 58 seconds left in the quarter, gave GC its biggest lead at 12-2.

Kean, which overcame an 8-0 deficit at Guilford on Saturday had no such luck a Pride Field. KU, however, won the last period 3-2. Will Lillard led the Cougars with 3 goals and an assist.

Greensboro recorded 35 shots to 28 for Kean. Mike Foderaro (1-2) got the win, 9 saves and allowed 4 scores for GC. Freshman Matt Leach played the last 14:27 and stopped 3 shots and gave up 2 goals.

In the nets for the Cougars, starter Dave Nichols took the loss, had 9 saves and allowed 13 goals. John Gesumaria played the last 8:03 and allowed one goal.
