GAMBIER, Ohio -- (March 3, 2007) The Kenyon College Lords rode the offensive outburst of senior Luke Larson (Mercer Island, WA/Seattle Academy) Saturday and cruised past No. 20 Dickinson University. Larson posted a career-high seven goals and helped the Lords to a 12-6 victory over the Red Devils.

Larson put Kenyon on the board just over five minutes into the game on a laser-type shot during a man-up opportunity. Classmate Sean Wheeler (Darien, CT/Brunswick School) notched his team-best fourth assist on the Kenyon opening goal.

Dickinson (1-1) answered with a goal of its own ninety seconds later before KC junior Nate Pritchard (Narberth, PA/Lower Merion) netted his first goal of the season at the 4:24 point of the first period. With the Lords clinging to a slim 2-1 advantage, Larson caught fire and rattled off four more tallies for Kenyon before the halftime break. Sophomores Devin Catlin (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) and Brett Fuller (Marlborough, MA/Avon Old Farms) picked up assists on two of Larson's scores.

Out of the halftime break, the Lords turned a 6-3 bulge into a 10-5 lead after three quarters. Goals by Catlin and Fuller sandwiched around two additional markers by Larson pushed the Lords to a lead they never relinquished.

Kenyon sophomore goalkeeper David Page (West Chester, PA/St. Andrew's (DE)) picked up the win between the pipes. He allowed just DC goals on 26 shots and racked up 12 saves.

The Lords improved to 2-0 for the second-straight spring and look to continue their torrid play Friday when they battle St. John Fisher College. The game will be played at Loyola College and is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m.
