The Game Story:
LYNCHBURG, VA - Junior midfielder Ryan Quick
(Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle) scored four times as the 12th-ranked
Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team defeated visiting Muhlenberg
College 17-5 in non-conference play Saturday.



The Hornets scored the first six goals of the game in the
first 8:18 - with six different players finding the back of the net.
Muhlenberg answered with three straight tallies, two by Brian
Schimaneck to pull within three. LC scored 11 of the next 12 goals to
put the contest out of reach.



Senior Brian McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson)
scored three times and added an assist, while his brother Billy
McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) and Ryan Cranston (West
chester, PA/B. Reed Henderson) each had two goals and an assist.
Brian Kemper (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) and Adam Gift (Centreville,
VA/Westfield) both had a goal and an assist. Freshman goalie Garrett
Curran (Hull, MA/Tabor Academy) made nine saves in net in 45 minutes
of play.



John Westendorf and Schimaneck each had two goals for the
Mules (2-1). Lynchburg out shot MC 39-27 and won 16 of the 26
face-offs.



The Hornets (4-0) host Wooster College Wednesday at 3
p.m. in non-conference play.
