| UMW Men's Lacrosse Tops Catholic, 11-10, in CAC Tourney FREDERICKSBURG, VA - The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team overcame a shaky start to defeat Catholic University, 11-10, on Saturday in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament. The Eagles, who improve to 9-5 on the season, overcame a 4-1 second quarter deficit for the win. The Eagles used four goals form junior Greg Rose, and one goal and two assists from Dave Justen, Mark Fiore, and Dave Morris to win their ninth game of the year. Eric Everitt was credited with the win in relief, allowing six goals in 40 minutes and making seven saves. UMW will visit top-ranked Salisbury University in the CAC Semifinals on Tuesday. |
