Mary Washington vs. Plattsburgh

The Game Story:
Senior midfielder Brent Fisk scored five goals to lead the University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team to a 12-7 win over SUNY Plattsburgh on Wednesday afternoon at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 5-3 on the season, while the Cardinals fall to 4-2 overall.

The Eagles jumped ahead quickly, leading 4-1 after the first quarter. Fisk netted a pair of goals in the opening stanza, with Dave Watts and Pete Lytle each adding one score. the Eagles led, 6-4, at halftime, as Fisk and Kohl Meyer added tallies in the second.

Senior Charlie White scored the first of his two goals to open the third quarter, with Evan Weiss adding a goal to build the UMW lead to 8-4, before Plattsburgh scored twice to cut the deficit to 8-6. UMW put the game away with a 4-1 advantage in the fourth quarter, with Fisk scoring twice, and White and freshman harry Snyder adding single goals.

The Eagles outshot Plattsburgh, 41-37, and had 51 ground balls to 26 for the Cardinals. UMW sophomore goalie Ryan Kleman made 16 saves for the Eagles, while Plattsburgh's Matt Billia had 12 saves. Kyle Norchi led Plattsburgh with four goals.

The Eagles will host Randolph-Macon College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
