| FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Senior attacker Dave Morris scored four goals and dished out one assist to help Mary Washington defeat Washington & Jefferson, 13-3, in men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles (3-5) raced out to a 4-0 lead behind two Morris goals and stretched their advantage to 6-2 at halftime. Mary Washington netted seven of the eight second-half goals to run away with the victory. Erik Everitt earned the win in goal for the Eagles, making seven saves and allowing three goals, while freshman Brad Lowery (Akron, Ohio/Culver Military Academy) took the loss for W&J. Lowery stopped 11 shots. The Eagles held a 42-15 shot advantage. Freshmen attackers Zach Devilbiss (New Market, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Sean Jasionowski (Bear, Del./Pennington) and midfielder Mike Frank (Potomac, Md./Landon) scored the W&J goals. Jasionowski and Frank netted second-quarter goals, while Devilbiss scored his in the third period. Washington & Jefferson (3-5) looks to snap its two-game losing streak on Tuesday when it hosts Eastern at 7:00 pm. |
