The Game Story:
DALLAS -- Nazareth's attack trio of Mark DeCirce, C.J. Estes and Joe Jacobs-Ferderbar combined to score 10 goals Saturday for 13th-ranked Nazareth as the Golden Flyers defeated Western New England in a non-conference game for men's lacrosse, 16-8, at Southern Methodist University's Ford Stadium.

The victory boosted Nazareth's record to 4-1 overall, while the Golden Bears dropped to 3-3. Nazareth travels to Cortland Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

Nazareth scored the first four goals of the game and extended that advantage to 10-3 by halftime and 13-3 after three quarters. DeCirce had three assists in addition to his four goals. Jacobs-Ferderbar had three assists and Estes two.

Estes also had eight ground balls and face-off specialist Kyle McLean had 10 as he benefited by winning 18 of 28 draws.

Nazareth got first-quarter scores from Scott Castle, Jacobs-Ferderbar, DeCirce and Mike Cummings to build an early advantage. WNEC scored twice before the end of the quarter, but Nazareth scored six more times in the second quarter to build a commanding 10-3 advantage.

DeCirce scored twice in the second quarter and junior midfielder Mike Centra contributed his first goal of the season. Estes, Castle and sophomore John McDonnell# also scored.

Estes added two more goals in the third quarter and DeCirce added his fourth goal of the gamme and 10th of the season as the lead ballooned to 13-3. Estes scored again in the fourth as did Castle and Jacobs-Ferderbar.

Nazareth had a 38-37 advantage in shots and a 45-33 edge in ground balls. Defender Brian Orr had four ground balls and Brian O'Donnell had four caused turnovers. Senior goalie Todd Dermody# had eight saves.

Patrick White led WNEC with three goals and Andrew Mariani had two goals and one assist. Goalier Brewster Knowlton had nine saves.
