| ASTON, PA- Neumann University men's lacrosse fought hard with Messiah but fell short 12-8. The Knights were led by Justin Mailloux with three points (2 goals and 1 assist). Andrew Neubauer finished the game with 17 saves in the loss. The Falcons were led by Phil Wendt with 4 goals and 2 assist. Josh Stewart started the game for Messiah but got pulled after the first period. He finished with 2 saves. Zach Cureton was the winning goalkeeper finishing with 7 saves. The game was tied at one at the end of the first period. The Falcons went on an offensive attack in the second period. Messiah would take a 6-3 halftime lead. The Knights were able to pull within two, trailing 8-6, at the end of the third period. Neumann would not be able to pull any closers, eventually falling 12-8. The Knights will return to action Wednesday March 24 at Richard Stockton. Start time is set for 7 PM. |
