Neumann vs. Frostburg State

The Game Story:
ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team defeated Frostburg State University 9-8 in dramatic fashion on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Mike Pantalone scored four goals for the Knights, including the game-winner. Ryan O'Kane tallied two goals. Sam Maldou notched two helpers.

The Knights jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. O'Kane scored both of his goals in the early run. The Bobcats stayed off the board until there was six minutes left in the second quarter. Neumann held a 6-3 advantage at the half.

The teams traded two goals apiece in the third quarter and the Knights took the 8-5 lead into the fourth quarter.

Frostburg would continue its comeback and would eventually tie the game at 8-8 with just under four minutes left regulation. Pantalone would not let the game go that easily and scored 39 seconds later to put Neumann back up on top. The Knights held off the Bobcats for the final three minutes, including killing off a man-advantage, for the 9-8 final.

Andrew Neubauer made 11 save in net as Neumann improves to 2-1 on the season. The Knights will host Hood College next Friday evening in non-conference action beginning at 5:00 PM.
