The Game Story:
HENNIKER, N.H.- New England College men's lacrosse netted a season-high 28 goals en route to a 28-1 victory over the visiting Thomas College Terriers Sunday afternoon.

The Pilgrims currently have sole possession of first place in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) improving to 5-0 in conference play and even their over record at 6-6. With the loss the Terriers fall to 3-8 on the season and 2-3 in NAC play.

The Pilgrims would score just 18 seconds into play as Sam Freihofner (Scarsdale, N.Y.) would net his 18th goal of the season. New England College would go on tack on four additional goals to go up 5-0. Thomas would get on the board midway through the first as Matt Davis (Farmington, Maine) would put in a pass from Gunner Shelton (Eugene, Ore.) on a man-up opportunity.

NEC would respond with five unanswered goals in the opening quarter to build a 10-1. The Pilgrims offense would continue to control much of the tempo through the remainder of the game as NEC would net seven goals in the second, six goals in the third and five goals in the fourth eventually cruising to the 28-1 victory.

Seventeen different Pilgrims tallied goals, including Adam Shute (Calgary, Alberta) who finished with a team-high four goals. NEC's Brian Gillis (North Vancouver, B.C.) finished with two goals and four assists, while Steve Parsons (Townsend, Md.) recorded three goals for the Pilgrims.

Picking up the win for NEC was Nick Aquaviva (Syracuse, N.Y.) who finished with one save in one half of work.
In goal for Thomas was Jesse Morkeski (Damariscotta, Maine) who made an impressive 27 saves on the afternoon.
