The Game Story:
POTSDAM, N.Y. - Senior Matt Vaverchak (Binghamton/Seton Catholic) scored with 1:28 left in overtime to give the SUNY
Potsdam men's lacrosse team a 14-13 comeback win over Keuka College at Maxcy Hall.

Vaverchak had five goals, diving on the ground to score the left-handed winner from point-blank range. He picked up a
ground ball behind the Storm net, raced to the front undefended and beat Keuka junior goalie Chad Green
(Watertown/South Jefferson) for the winner. Vaverchak finished with three ground balls.

Sophomore Corey Reinhart (Albany/Colonie) and freshman Kyle Phelix (North Lawrence/St. Lawrence Central) scored three
goals each for the Bears. Reinhart also made three assists while Phelix had one.

With five minutes to go, Potsdam was
down 13-10 before Reinhart scored twice and freshman Justin Wilson-Kirby (Oakville, Ont./T.A. Blakelock) scored once.
Reinhart netted the equalizer with 1:38 left in regulation. At times, the Bears had trailed 4-1 and 11-8 before
making their last push.

Sophomores Dave Uzialko (Lima/Honeoye Falls-Lima) and Conor O'Neill (Ballston Lake/Shenendehowa) added goals for
Potsdam. Uzialko beat the halftime buzzer with an assist from Reinhart.

Junior George Nolan (Marcellus/Marcellus) contributed two assists to the Potsdam effort while Uzialko and sophomore
A.J. Lalonde (Rochester/Rush-Henrietta) had one. Sophomore Ryan McHugh (Saranac Lake/Saranac Lake) led the Bears in
ground balls with five.

Three different goalies - seniors Brian Hondorf (Webster/Webster Schroeder) and Tim Neer
(Baldwinsville/Baldwinsville) and freshman Billy Richards (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) - split time. Neer stopped five shots
while Richards stopped three, played overtime and earned the win.

Senior Ryan Burton (Seneca Falls/Mynderse) and junior Justin Pecori (Watertown/South Jefferson) scored four goals
each for Keuka (2-2). Pecori also had two assists and three ground balls while Green finished with 12 saves.

Potsdam (3-2) will play its next game on Tuesday, April 3 at St. Lawrence University. Game time is 5 p.m.
