However, Alfred's Steve Douglas (Horseheads, N.Y.) scored with nine seconds to build the two-goal lead.

The Tigers defense buckled down in the third, while the offense broke through twice to knot the game at 8-8. Andrew Pratt (Irondequoit, N.Y.) and Chris Vallone (Corning, N.Y.) scored the two RIT markers on feeds from Josh Molinari (Oswego, N.Y.).

With 5:21 remaining Ryan Neward (Williamsville, N.Y.) gave the Tigers a 10-9 advantage, but after a failed RIT clear gave Alfred possession with 15 seconds remaining and Steve Douglas came up huge for the Saxons scoring the game-tying goal with six seconds remaining.
