The Game Story:
HENRIETTA, NY (April 19, 2003) -- The Golden Flyers jumped out to an 11-3 halftime lead and never looked back, cruising to a 21-7 victory over RIT in men's lacrosse on Saturday afternoon.

Jason Mordaci and Brandon Brown scored the first 2 goals of the game for the Nazareth, giving the Golden Flyers an early 2-0 lead. Chris Copeland scored a man-up goal for RIT with 4:36 remaining in the first quarter to make the score 2-1. Mordaci scored his second goal with 1:21 remaining in the first quarter to start a 4-0 Nazareth run over the next two minutes which increased the Golden Flyers' lead to 6-1.

For the game, Nazareth held a 62-43 advantage on groundballs and won 21 of 30 face-offs. The Golden Flyers outshot RIT 52-28.

The Tigers (6-4, 3-1 E8) were led by Andrew Pratt's three goals and Chris Copeland's two goals and an assist. John Sinclair made 15 saves in goal.

Three different Golden Flyers scored 4 goals, including Mordaci, Brown, and Bryan Coon. Mordaci and Brown also each had an assist. Bryan Adams added three goals, Greg Kanellis scored two goals, and Chris Balash added a goal and four assists. Matt Kent, Brian Navarra, and Brown each fielded seven ground balls.

Don Green made six saves in goal as Nazareth improves to 8-3 overall and 5-0 in the Empire 8. The Golden Flyers will host Ithaca on Friday in an important Empire 8 matchup at 5 p.m.
