Rit vs. Union

The Game Story:
ROCHESTER, NY -- The third ranked RIT men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 with a 17-4 win over Union College. Eric Pritchard (Webster, NY) and Scott Farress (Webster, NY) paced the Tigers with six points apiece.

RIT led 3-2 after the first quarter. Andy Ruocco (Corning, NY/Corning East), David Demuth (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) and Wes Adam (Lafayette, NY) each had goals for the Tigers.

The Tigers blew the game open in the second quarter, scoring six goals. Scott Farress scored all four of his goals in the second quarter. Demuth and Eric Pritchard also scored for the Tigers.

RIT's defense tightened up in the second, third and fourth quarters, allowing two goals. Jacob Tuller (Corning, NY/Corning East), Matt DiGiambattista (Fairport, NY), Chris Bulawa (Camillus, NY), Michael Crowley (Succasunna, NJ), Phil Davenport (New Market, MD) led a stout RIT defensive effort.

John Foley (Arthur, ON/Our Lady of Lourdes) got the start in net, making three saves, earning his third win of the season. Brad Conlon (Ottawa, ON) made three saves in relief.

Demuth scored three goals and Trevor Hoselton (Skaneateles, NY) had a goal and two assists. Jacob Brunner (Lafayette, NY) dominated the face-offs, winning 17-of-22. He also had seven ground balls and an assist. Nicholas Dalton (Webster, NY) grabbed eight ground balls.

RIT will host Keuka College on Wednesday, March 14 at 4 pm on RIT's Turf Field.
