Tied at seven heading into the fourth quarter, the game was decided in the first 3:19 of the final 15 minutes of play, as Bonasera scored three straight goals to give the Maroons a 10-7 lead. Two of the goals were unassisted tallies on which the attackman made one-on-one moves from behind the cage. The other goal was a man-up score off of an assist from freshman Chris Keating (Chatham, NJ/Chatham). The Maroons were able to run a lot of time off of the clock over the next eight minutes.
