The Game Story:
Salem, MA - Torey Nicholson scored four goals and Justin Jones and Logan Godrey each added a hat trick as the Salem State Vikings won convincingly over the St. Joseph's Monks, 22-1.

Nicholson, who scored three times in the first half, led a first period barrage that gave Salem State (1-1), a 9-0 lead after the first period. Godfrey, who scored three straight times in the opening quarter and Jones, who also added two assists helped the Vikings take a 13-0 lead into the half.

Johnathan Falls added two goals as Salem State avenged a season opening loss to record their first win since regaining varsity status. Goalie Keith Hardy recorded a first half shutout to earn his first victory of the season.

Kody Peckham ended the shutout bid with a goal early in the fourth period for St. Joseph's (0-2). Goalie Brendan Dyer made 11 saves in the loss for the Monks, who are in their first season in Division III.

The Vikings next game is scheduled for Tuesday March 18th at Emerson College.
