| Salisbury, Md - Junior Cory O'Neil tallied five goals and two assists and
sophomore Chris Phillips added four goals and two assists to lead Salisbury to
a 16-6 Capital Athletic Conference victory at home over Goucher.
O'Neil and Phillips each scored three times in the opening half as Salisbury (2-0 overall, 2-0 CAC) built a 7-3 halftime lead. The Sea Gulls broke the game open by outscoring Goucher 6-0 in the third quarter, with O'Neil adding his fourth and fifth goals of the game. Senior Josh Bergey finished with two goals and a team-high three assists, and junior Andy Murray added two goals and two assists. Sophomore defenseman Chris Webber paced Goucher (1-1 overall, 0-1 CAC) with two goals. Sophomores Ian Montgomery and Patrick Tracy had one goal and one assist. Salisbury outshot Goucher 58-23, including a 22-2 advantage in shots in the decisive third quarter. Three Sea Gull goalies combined for 11 saves, led by eight stops by starter Dan Korpon.
