| Salisbury, Md - The #1 ranked Sea Gulls scored the first 22 goals of
the game en route to a 24-3 Capital Athletic Conference win over
Marymount. Fourteen different players scored for Salisbury, which
improved to 5-0 overall (3-0 CAC). Marymount falls to 0-4 and 0-1 CAC.
Senior Corey O'Neil led the Gulls with five goals, including two markers during a 9-0 opening quarter run. Senior Andy Arnold finished with three goals, all in the first quarter, and added one assist. Senior Joe Tamberrino finished with a career-high six assists. Four others - Justin Smith, Ryan Rohde, Dan Boyer and Bryan Bradford - scored twice each for Salisbury, which led 13-0 at halftime and 21-0 after three quarters. The Sea Gulls finished with a 65-15 advantage in total shots. Three Salisbury goalies combined for five saves. Marymount's Matt McConnell (7 saves) and Eric Randall (10 saves) combined for 17 saves. Nick Hoefer scored twice for the Saints. Salisbury, which extended its current winning streak to 14 games over two seasons, returns to action Sunday at #12 Roanoke. |
