The Game Story:
SALISBURY, Md. * The Salisbury men's lacrosse team improved to 8-0 on the
season, 4-0 in the conference, as they knocked off No. 14-ranked Seahawks of
St. Mary's College, 13-3, in conference action at Sea Gull Stadium on
Saturday. The Sea Gulls were led offensively by freshman Kylor Berkman
(Salisbury, MD/Parkside) and senior Mike Edwards (Baltimore, MD/Calvert
Hall), who each scored two goals on the afternoon.

After one quarter, the Sea Gulls held a slim 4-1 lead. Ryan Rohde
(Glenmoore, PA/Malvern Prep) opened the scoring at the 8:59 mark, taking a
pass from Mike Hurley (Cambridge, MD/Cambridge-SD) to the back of the net.
Edwards scored his first at the 4:14 mark, scoring on a pass from Jimmy
Creighton (Huntington, NY/Huntington). St. Mary's answered on a goal from
Dave Mueller at the 4:01 mark, but Salisbury's Dan Boyer (Millersville,
MD/Mt. St. Joseph's) scored his team-leading 29th goal of the season to
extend the lead to three.

In the second quarter, St. Mary's Cyrus Albertson pulled the Seahawks within
two with a goal at the 8:20 mark, but the Sea Gulls answered. Salisbury's
Brett Yoder (Parkton, MD/Hereford) scored at the 7:50 mark and Eric Bishop
(Media, PA/Penncrest) followed at the 2:52 mark to give Salisbury the 6-2
lead at halftime.

In the third quarter, Salisbury extended its lead to 9-2 with a second goal
from Edwards at the 14:12 mark, Creighton with a goal at the 6:00 mark, and
Berkman with his first on the afternoon at the 4:34 mark. In the fourth
quarter, Salisbury scored four goals to St. Mary's one. Goal scorers for the
Sea Gulls included Matt Dasinger (Reistertown, MD/Franklin) at the 13:59
mark; Hurley at the 10:43 mark; Berkman with his second at the 6:56 mark;
and Greg Baggan (Lutherville, MD/Boy's Latin) at the 4:29 mark. The
Seahawks' Dave Mueller scored his second goal of the game with seventeen
seconds remaining, but it was not enough.

In net, Salisbury goalie Max Zarchin (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) stopped 14
of 16 shots on goal to earn his seventh win of the season against zero
setbacks. Salisbury native Rich Barr stopped nine of 22 shots on goal to
take the loss for St. Mary's.

For the game, Salisbury out shot St. Mary's, 36-29, and held a slight
advantage in ground balls, 40-34. St.Mary's held the advantage in faceoffs,
as Marc DiPasquale won nine of 17 faceoffs. Salisbury's Berkman led the Sea
Gulls, winning five of nine faceoffs.

The No. 1-ranked Sea Gulls will travel to Sanford, Florida to take on St.
Lawrence University on Wednesday, March 22, at 3:00 p.m. They return home
Tuesday, March 28 to host York College in CAC conference action at 3:30 p.m.
