The Game Story:
Salisbury, Md - Attackmen Josh Bergey and Andy Arnold combined for nine goals and three assists to lead #2 ranked Salisbury to a 16-6 non-conference victory over visiting Trinity (CT) College on Saturday.

Bergey (5g-2a) and Arnold (4g-1a) each scored twice in the first quarter as Salisbury (7-0 overall) built a 7-2 lead. They each added a third marker in the second quarter and sophomore Chris Phillips (3g-1a) tallied his second as the Sea Gulls pushed their advantage to 10-4 at halftime.

Bergey, Arnold and Mike Colaianni scored in the third quarter as SU extended its lead to 13-5. Bergey's fifth goal and Phillips' third accounted for two of Salisbury's fourth quarter scores.

Senior Ravi Pillay and freshman Coly Smith led Trinity (2-2) with one goal and one assist apiece. Salisbury outshot Trinity 37-33. Sophomore goalie Mike Taylor, making his first career start for the Sea Gulls, recorded seven saves. Trinity's Geoff Shaw registered 11 saves.

Salisbury returns to action on Wednesday against Union (NY) College. That game will be played in Port Richey, FL.
