|Salisbury, Md - Seniors Andy Arnold and Corey O'Neil both registered
three goals and three assists and sophomore Dan Boyer finished with
three goals and one assist to lead #1 ranked Salisbury to a 27-7 Capital
Athletic Conference victory over York. The Sea Gulls extend their
winning streak to 19 games while improving to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in
the CAC. York falls to 2-5 overall (0-4 CAC).
Arnold tallied all his goals and assists in the opening quarter as Salisbury jumped to a 10-1 lead. O'Neil scored twice and added two assists during the opening quarter. Boyer scored all three of his goals in the second quarter as the Sea Gulls increased their advantage to 16-3 at halftime.
Junior midfielder Casey Olejniczak (2g-1a) scored twice in the third quarter while senior Scott Simmons (2g-2a) had one goal and two assists in the quarter as the lead grew to 24-3 after three periods.
Three straight goals by York's Andrew Collins helped the Spartans outscore the Sea Gulls 4-3 in the final quarter. Sophomore Josh Papsan led York with four goals, all unassisted.
Junior midfielder Justin Smith (2g) and freshman attackers Mike Edwards (2g-1a) and Eric Bishop (2g) also finished as multi-goal scorers for Salisbury, which out-shot York 74-21.
