The Game Story:
SCRANTON, Pa.—Senior midfielder Chad Wagoner and senior attacker Ryan Henry scored four goals apiece to lead Oneonta State University to a 16-5 victory over The University of Scranton in non-conference action Thursday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field.

Senior attacker Matt Winchell added three goals and senior midfielder Dan Orlowski a pair as the Red Dragons evened their record at 1-1. Sophomore midfielder Dan Stallone (S. Plainfield, N.J./St. Joseph Metuchen) led Scranton, now 0-2, with two goals and freshman midfielder Kevin Joyce (Floral Park, N.Y./Chaminade), freshman attacker Santiago DelCastillo (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul Schreiber) and senior midfielder Jonathan Sutter (Media, Pa./Penncrest) added one apiece.

Henry and Winchell scored two goals apiece as Oneonta State set the tone early by jumping out to a 6-2 lead after the first period of play. Henry and Wagoner then combined for four goals in the second period as the Red Dragons extended their lead to 11-2 by intermission. Wagoner also finished with three assists for Oneonta State, which out-shot Scranton 40-31 and controlled 18 of 25 face-offs.

Junior Rick Freud made eight saves in goal in 37:30 minutes of action to pick up the win between the pipes while Scranton’s Thomas Kenyon (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) made a game-high 14 saves.

The Royals will host the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College this Saturday, March 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
