The Game Story:
SCRANTON, PA^×Union bolted out to a 4-1 lead after the first period of play and went on to post an 11-6 victory over The University of Scranton in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field.

The win enabled the Dutchmen, and first-year head coach Erv Chambliss, to end the season with a record of 4-11, the Garnet's best record since 2001.

Sophomore midfielder Bryan Bendjy and junior attacker Ben Beaty led the Dutchmen with two goals apiece while goalies Will Tamm and Robert Oram combined for 22 saves.

Bendjy scored both of his goals in the first half, including what turned out to be the game-winner just 14 seconds into the first period, as the Dutchmen led 7-2 by intermission. Oram took over the goalkeeping duties in the second half and stopped 14 shots to keep the Royal offense at bay.
