Frank’s five goals move him into seventh on Scranton’s all-time career goals list with 85. He scored twice in the first period and twice again in the third when Scranton took a 9-3 lead with four straight goals to start the second half. The Royals (8-4) also received two goals and an assist from junior midfielder Dillon McInerney (Hawthorne, N.J./Bergen Catholic) and a goal and an assist each from junior attacker Kevin Brier (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) and freshman attackers Anthony Lombardo (Mendham, N.J./Mendham) and Will Mahle (Montgomery, N.J./Montgomery). Senior attacker Daniel Slade (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) had three assists and sophomore midfielder John Gregitis (Wayne, Pa./St. Joseph’s Preparatory) had an assist for Scranton. The Royals took control by outscoring Marywood, 7-1, over a span of 26 minutes in the middle of the game. Frank and McInerney scored two goals apiece during the run and Lombardo added a man-up goal. Marywood (7-6) closed the gap to 9-5 with two goals late in the third period, but Frank scored early in the fourth to provide an insurance goal, and the Pacers were only able to add a late goal for the final margin.
