The Game Story:
WINCHESTER, Va. - The SU men's lacrosse completed its 2003 Saturday afternoon with a 13-7 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference defeat of Eastern University.

Shenandoah (4-9, 1-5) finishes sixth in the league with the win while Eastern (1-11, 0-6) will finish in the PAC basement.

Despite the comfortable margin of victory, SU was forced to rally in the final 15 minutes of play. After taking a 6-1 lead on Jeff Paolozzi's (Brownville, NY/General Brown) man-up goal with 7:20 to play in the first half, Eastern rallied with three of the four goals scored in the third period.

Fortunately for the hosts, the Eagles were able to get no closer than a one-goal deficit and five straight goals in the final 10:35 allowed the hosts to pull away.

Senior Chris Keller (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) led his squad with a co-game high six points on three goals and three assists. Junior Elmer Baker (Fort Montgomery, NY/O'Neill) matched Keller's output with two goals and four assists while Paolozzi had two and two.

Three EU players: Ryan Hamidi, Cliff Homan and Brian Miller, had three points apiece. Hamidi and Homan each hit for two goals and an assist while Miller chipped in a goal to go with his two assists.

Dave Behan (Holtsville, NY/Sachem) recorded 14 saves for SU while Luke Pearson turned away 12 shots for the Eagles.
